Department of Textile Technology, Bannari Amman Institute of Technology is organizing this conference with a view to increase the sustainability of technical textiles by exploring ideas on eco-friendly textile materials and processes. In the past couple of decades, the global technical textile industry has grown exponentially. Technical textiles represent multi-disciplinary field with numerous end-use applications. In recent years, there is an increasing focus on sustainable textiles, driven by concerns on preserving the ecological balance of our environment and implementation of the concepts of sustainability will play a critical role in the evolution of high-tech eco-friendly textiles. This conference will be an ideal platform for technologists, scientists and industrialists around the world, to voice their views on how sustainability can be brought in technical textile products and processes.
